Space to Enjoy
The heart of the Green Lodge is the open plan kitchen, dining area and living room. The dual aspect living room is filled with light, looking out onto the garden and the woods beyond. There are comfortable sofas and chairs to relax and watch the television or enjoy the warmth of the wood burning stove. We provide a range of games, jigsaw puzzles, local guidebooks. For anyone wanting a separate space, the 'reading nook' on the upstairs landing is away from the main living areas and is an ideal spot for bedtime stories, time on the iPad or just a quiet place to read whilst enjoying a wine/whisky/hot chocolate.
The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, whatever your requirements. Generous supplies of china, cutlery and glassware and all the appliances you’d expect such as an oven, microwave, induction hob, kettle, toaster and dishwasher. We have invested in quality brands including: Circulon, Dualit, Sophie Conran, LSA, Joseph Joseph, Bodum, F.A. Porsche and Denby. There’s other stuff you might not expect, like a slow cooker, a nutribullet and a separate toaster for anyone gluten free.
If your morning routine starts with tea or coffee, we try to ensure we have every option covered. There’s a Sage Oracle Touch bean to cup coffee machine, that makes your choice of latte, flat white, cappuccino, espresso or long black – and froths the milk for delicious hot chocolate too. In addition there is a french press and a capsule machine, should you prefer a simpler/quicker option. For tea drinkers we include a range of regular, herbal and fruit teabags.

- Bedroom 4 - downstairs, two single beds
Upstairs there are two bathrooms: the master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and bedrooms 2 and 3 share the main bathroom, which has a bathtub and over-bath shower. Downstairs, bedroom 4 has access to another shower room. Toiletries are provided in all bathrooms, and each guest is provided with a large fluffy bath sheet, hand towel and a flannel.
Space to Work
Unfortunately, modern life often dictates that holiday time isn't always free from everyday demands. We have therefore provided a small working area with desk and chair should you need to catch up with work. As rural broadband in this location is somewhat slow, we have Starlink broadband providing a fast and reliable connection.
Space for all the Family
Kids: Aviemore is a playground for children of all ages & we've tried to ensure the house is well equipped for your little ones. There's a cot and high chair for the really small ones, books and games for the slightly bigger ones and decent WiFi for the older ones.
Dogs: We love dogs & our dog is very much part of our family, so we understand having the right holiday environment for them to enjoy is a holiday essential. There is an enclosed garden at the back of the Green Lodge (see outdoor space), and an outside tap for hosing them down. We supply dog towels, a dog bed and bowls. As not all our guests have dogs, we charge £50 extra (£75 for 2 dogs) to cover a deep clean after a dog has stayed and request that dogs are not allowed directly onto any furniture.
Accessibility: Access into the house is step-free & the downstairs bedroom provides an accessible option for any family members with mobility issues. The downstairs shower room has grab rails for support & there is a shower stool if required.
Extra Space
The house has plenty of storage and there's a utility room great for storing outdoor gear, It has a washing machine, tumble dryer, extra sink and an airer for any wet gear.
The house is wooden frame construction, with excellent insulation and is heated by a heat pump with underfloor heating on the ground floor - which helps any boots dry out gently and the dogs love it too.
